Hey Friends,
I made a couple of tweaks to the intro to the “Irreplaceable” playlist (see Spotify link at the end of this post) and thought it best to re-publish it as part of this series. If you have any favorites that aren’t on this list, please let me know. Also, in sharing them, I would love to know how they connect with your story.
Thanks and here you go!
BONUS TRACK 1: Irreplaceable: Recovering God’s Heart for Dads’ Playlist[1]
I created a playlist and continually listened to it during the last two years of this project. It includes many eras and genres of music, but every song inspired, stretched, and helped me feel the gamut of emotions that this book has attempted to speak to. I pray it helps give voice to the deepest parts of you and is a catalyst for creating your own “Irreplaceable” playlist. Admittedly, it’s an honest expression of the good, the bad, and the ugly in our stories. It also includes a few songs that may seem out-of-place. In these instances, there was some phrase, verse, or chorus that connected me with my dad. Finally, you’ll find that this playlist is heavy on folk and classic rock, and light on country. That’s me and I understand if it’s not you. As they say, eat the meat and spit out the bones. But above all, enjoy!
