Dear Friends,
I want to thank you for the incredible honor of reading my blog. It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a year since we started this journey and we now have about 100 subscribers!
This post is an example of the “exclusive content” you get for signing up. 🙂
Besides thanking you, I wanted to tell you about my next season, asking for your prayers and help in getting the word out.
As many of you know, our daughter, Emily, gets married on May 25th, making my wife, Pam, and I officially empty-nesters. On the other side of the wedding, I would like to begin sharing my story on “How I Became a Christian Despite the Church” in various denominational and inter-denominational retreat or seminar settings, along with an associated half or full-day seminar entitled “The Dangers of Growing Up in a Christian Home (and how to avoid them!).” I’ve started a book on “How I Became a Christian Despite the Church” and the title of my doctoral project was “The Dangers of Growing Up in a Christian Home (and how to avoid them!)”. I created a new page for that seminar that you can check out here!
If you would like to help, here’s how:
- Keep reading and sharing feedback. Your encouragement and suggestions mean a lot!
- Share the blog on social media and encourage others to sign up.
- Pray specifically for God’s blessing on plans to take my story and associated seminar on the road.
- If you would like to help with getting the word out about the seminar, let me know at gregausten@comcast.net and I’ll send you an electronic informational flyer that you can share.
Finally, I would like to specifically thank my son, Timothy, for all the engaging conversation on various “faith and life” topics, helping me set this blog up a year ago, and his many kind edits. I also would like to thank four of my amazing colleagues at Care Net: Ardee Coolidge, Nathan Smith, Jake Hall, and Alyssa Haun. Besides your friendship and millennial perspective, you have blessed me more than you know with your phenomenal ninja talents related to marketing, social media, and graphic design.
Again, to all of you, my readers, THANK YOU!
Remember, as C.S. Lewis said, “You are never too old to set a new goal or dream a new dream.”
Blessings to you today and I’ll be in touch next week!
Greg
