Quiet Holiness for Our Digital Noise

Hey friends and family, this is a provocative and beautiful piece by one of my dear friends. Enjoy!

Pixels and Prayers

I wake to my screen’s soft glow,
a portal to endless voices,
their currents tugging at my thoughts.
Notifications scatter like seeds,
but what do they grow?

Here, in this digital garden,
every click is a choice,
every scroll is a journey.
Do I wander aimlessly,
or plant something eternal?

The algorithms know my habits,
but do they know my heart?
In a world of curated lives,
I search for truth unfiltered,
a voice that speaks beyond the feed.

Fingers hover over keys,
crafting posts, crafting identity.
Do my words reflect His grace,
or chase fleeting approval?
Can hashtags bring hope?

There’s a quiet holiness
in pausing before I respond,
seeking wisdom over wit.
Can I honor Him
in pixels, as in prayers?

In the glare of constant updates,
I remember the stillness
of a Savior who stepped into noise,
not to amplify,
but to heal.

So I log in with purpose,
bearing light into screens,
living digitally,
but tethered to faith—
an anchor beyond the cloud.
