Pam, I, and our dogs had a wonderfully healing vacation in the Outer Banks the first week of November.
One night she captured the great picture of the moon above. It goes so well with a song I wrote many years ago that I thought I’d share the lyrics with for you the holiday. Although I wrote it on July 25, 1989, Christ’s invitation is as fresh as ever. Happy Thanksgiving, dear friends!
Changeless as the Sea
VERSE #1:
As I get a chance from time to time
To view this world You’ve made
I find myself again by the sea
(And) as I sit here now and watch the waves
Gently break against the rocks
I feel your calmness rolling over me
VERSE #2:
The moon is full and very bright
As if to beckon me
That I come and walk into it’s light
(And) as I gaze into it’s shiny path
I’m reminded once again
Of the call You’ve made to follow you
CHORUS:
Forever You will be changeless as the sea
I learn so much about You through Your world
Creation gives a glimpse
And Your Word it guides my way
Together they teach me who You are
